Best Way To Lower D3 4.2 Q?
Hi guys!
I've just become the proud owner of a 2005 4.2 Quattro. What's the best way to lower it? It has adaptive sport. I'm also looking to facelift the front end, any lead on parts? Thanks!

VCDS is the only way to lower the front really (or the kit from kufatec which is expensive).
Facelift the front would be: - Bumper - Bonnet - Grills - Headlights (I think) - Possibly wings.. Give A8parts a call and see what they say... It'll not be cheap though

I'v decided to go for the Airmatic Lowering Links. I don't really want to dick around with software. With this being entirely mechanical, the sensors are still seeing the ride height as normal, nothing's changed.
Bar the visual. And at £85, not a bad investment. I probably won't fit them until I get hold of a set of 9.0" x 20" wheels.

I'm not a fun of links at all purely because it's a permanent fix (until you swap them again) and VCDS allows you to play with each axle at the time by (+)(-) 5mm.
This method is 100% safe, no doubt, its all about numbers (coding) which is lets say telling your phone to get into stamina mode-extended battery life, absolutely legal, you not doing any permanent or dangerous changes and you can switch it off at any time, so if you don't like the ride height you can either change it further or come back to stock level at any time. I would really consider not buying the links or sending them back. you add another 180 quid to 85 and you will have VCDS and from the day you get the parcel you will save money almost everytime you connect it to your car to investigate problems. Thats my opinion
