Default I want an electric S8

Electric motors are so cool.
If only one of these could be installed into a A8/S8 to make it electric.
Batteries are crap though, weigh too much and cost too much and dont last long enough.

Maybe this is the solution, get rid of the battery alltogether, and use a petrol powered gas turbine to generate the electricity?
Range seems pretty good.

Oh dear not as easy as I thought.

I've driven the Tesla in California, and it's something special. The (Welsh) salesman in LA just gave me the keys and asked me to bring it back in one piece
I nearly signed the contract when I got back, but £90k was just a wee bit too much, and I would have had to have sold either the s8 or my fiat coupe, and I'm too attached to both.
If you can afford £90k to buy it, then you can afford another £10k for new batteries (if they are needed), and I wouldn't use it as an everyday car, so I think it would fine, both in terms of range and longevity.

I am very jealous, sounds like a fantastic car.
My dream though is an electric 8, I like big cars, the roadster looks a bit small to me.
Plus I dont have £90k. Maybe I'll have a look when they depreciate down to £10k.

Sounds like you should wait for the S -> http://www.teslamotors.com/models

Larger, cheaper, longer range, and (almost) as quick as the roadster - if they manage to build it...

The new Tesla looks nice in red and the centre console looks to be a massive touch screen - very nice

That's the problem - it doesn't sound.....

You'd need a V8 soundtrack in the wireless thingy all the time!

Saying 'wireless' does annoy my kids so I say it a lot
