Default D3 Bose DSP,Dashboard speakers

Hello Everyone

Has anyone had any problems with Bose dashboard speakers ?

i have a 57 plate 3 litre Tdi, all was well until Monday, the drivers side dash speaker went quiet, i put the balance to the right and fader to front, turned volume up and it came back on ?
went out to the car this morning, it's off again and cannot get it to come back on ??

any suggestions would be appreciated, i'am big into home and car hifi, so know when speakers are being over driven, something i have never done, not good it's like driving around with cotton wool in one ear

could it be the amp ? if so where abouts in the boot is it ?

Thanks Andy

Amp is in the rear left quarter panel behind the cover, If you have vcds you can do individual speaker tests too.

Andy, I've checked the register of forum members that have it and there doesn't seem to be anyone from the North East on it. It may be worth a phone call to Prestige to see if they'd be willing to do a scan on it for you, they've been very helpful to me in the past

Thanks Norretal

I will call them tomorrow to see what they say
I disconnected the amp tonight made no difference at all
I have noticed A8 parts also have a spare speaker for sale so if they can diagnose it and it needs the speaker job done

Thanks a lot Andy

Hello All

A bit bizarre finished work at 3 pm ish, travelling home rang me mate on my cars Bluetooth phone prep that cuts the music and uses the cars speakers, pulled up on me drive whilst on the phone, finished talking knocked the car off
Went back out around 8 ish started car up and all the speakers work ????
It's as if the phone coming through the dash speakers has kicked it back into touch
Strange
I will see what happens over this weekend as I had already spoke to Carl at A8 parts who said they would put it on VCDS for me next week

Cheers Andy

There's a thread somewhere about removing the mesh, I assume the speaker can then be removed with screws (maybe not) and some £2 maplin speaker lashed up as a test.
