Default MRS A8 Owners A8 been detailed

Hi all, steve tryed alsorts of things to get the depth out of the paint, but he wasnt happy with it. So i found detailing world from one of u guys posting a link and a search, found one Person called Matt in cardiff. I made arrangements for him to have the car for a wkd. Here is a link to the post on detailing world
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...10#post1494610

Im now getting into this detailing thing, Steve has bought me the towel and a few products Matt used to start me off. DID LOOK INTO THE BUCKETS AND GRIT PLATE BUT @£17 each ive done my own, as u r good boys ile let u into the cheaper way LOL. Lidl's have builder buckets on offer since thursday so got 2 of them and if u look around u should come across some plastic cake rackes (also Lidls)for 75p in red or white. cut/ trim edge abit and u got your self a grit mesh for the builder buckets.

I saw this on detailing world the other week, fantastic result. Looking forward to picking my car up next week and starting the detailing process...... big car and big plans, just need 3 or 4 days of good weather to crack on.

Wow!... Did you guys make it extra mucky beforehand?

Looks brilliant now though! I really need to get mine a good shine up, just a shame that the silver doesn't give quite as deep a gloss look.

Where did you get the paint and leather touch up stuff? My D2 seats could do with some TLC.

As I said to you via PM Steve, that really does look fantastic.

Can I ask how much the A8 cost to be detailed? Mine needs a zillion stone chips on teh bonnet sorted first (respray me thinks), then a full detail.
I'd imagine it's the thick end of 400 quid?

have a look at that dr colorchip stuff they used.. Might not be as good as a respray, but if it's even slightly as good as the pics, then it'll do.. will probably order some up for myself.
