Default who to contact at Audi UK re. issues

my 4.2Tdi has the gear box issue i.e. a harsh 4 to3 downshift.
looking at this forum there was a TSB issued for this.
called Audi Leicester yesterday, they had nothing on their system.
except the last service at 100K the rest were done at Audi dealerships.
i want to contact Audi to see if they can offer any goodwill?

if they dont will a good Audi specialist be able to do the same: blue gearbox oil and gear adaptation?

cheers raj

The trouble with Technical Service Bulletin 2013023/1 is that it is issued by Audi of America and is nothing to do with Audi AG or Audi UK.
Green fluid G060152 replaced the blue some years ago - just ask them to change fluid and update firmware - and see if it improves. You need to do a special adaptation drive afterwards which I find it is best to do yourself..

I believe Audi refuses to change the fluid because it is "sealed for life", unless they have changed their policy recently? Plenty of threads about this subject on this forum.

just spoke to Audi,

SEALED FOR LIFE
SEALED FOR LIFE
SEALED FOR LIFE.

was their reply. they were adamant that these boxes should not need/have oil changed. and they were not going to change UK/Europe procedures for little old me.. USA cars are different spec..
good indi specialist has quoted me £190 for oil and £50 for adaptation.

i think i will just book it in.
thanks raj

Are they, are they really. I know the emissions are different, or are they the same, or does it just depend if it's on test? i can't remember now
Would be interesting to see the differences in flulid "specs" between the UK and US cars.

Guy was offering gearbox servicing http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthrea...hlight=gearbox

i am sure they were making it up just like the term sealed for life!! i am sure there is no difference in the oil..
i have read the threads on this and would like it to be seen by an expert such as Guy but i am in Leicestershire!!

I can recommend Guy too. On a different note £190 sounds suspiciously cheap....
