Headlamp Logic - I'm confused
I have an A8L D3 '08.
It's got Xenons as Factory fit. I happended to be coming towards a big shop window so put the lights on Main Beam and only the outer ones undipped/stayed on. Is that a double filament bulb in there? The Inner pair only seem to come on as 'daylight running' lights - it's not got the LEDs. I'm confused.... can anyone explain the system as ElsaWin is not clear either  Stew,

I had a closer look on t'internet and read up on Bi-Xenons so now I know part of it.
Should I assume the Main Beam bit is a Halogen as Xenons do not like getting used in headlamp flash mode? Still slightly confused.....

Did you get to the bottom of this sloss, as I'm also confused.
My main beam appears to be the Xenon, as well as my dipped beam?? The inner lights seem to offer no function whatsoever

mine dont come on when reversing only when i corner, i have the Led day lights on mine not sure if that makes a difference, corner lights are good for junctions ect, i think the main and dipped beam come out of the same projector housing, bi xenon but dipped and main come on together when selected out of one projector not two separate ones like the D2
