Something I have just found in the A8

I have reopened this thread because I have finally discovered what the bit of black plastic is.
It is a genuine Audi part, honestly. Part number unknown but I am certain one of you bright sparks will look it up and add it here.
It is the link that fits on top of the front dash centre vents. The link is to transfer the flap movement between the two flaps in the vent.
Hope that makes sense.

Hey Audi,
Is that just the link, or the complete vent?
Mine is black with a shiny metal surround. The plastic bits that the metal clicks into are broken so sometime I'll be looking for a replacement complete vent. It is in and working at the moment but is a bit awkward putting it back in.
If it is just the link them I am OK because I had kept the strange bit that I found and was the reason I started this thread.

I found a bit like that similar in mine....and just filed it away in the side pocket. Just realised its the plastic bit on the seat back, in the centre of the leather, about mid shoulderblade.....Guess that'll be a glue it back on astheticy bit!

It's the complete vent, black with shiny surround, complete with the position sensor etc. I bought a pair but only needed the other side.
