Considering selling my d3 4.2 tdi lwb

I am torn between selling my a8 or storing it and keeping it for any future need.
I’ve owned the car for almost 9 years. It’s an Oct ‘05 so not silly tax.

Id say it’s a very rare model with some amazing options - approx £30k worth.
Apart from the usual options ….the rarer ones are the extended rear console (it’s a 4 seater - not 5), the rear screen entertainment, the folding table and the FAX machine! It also has the FULL elec rear seats - and this is just the back of the car. It also has the rear phone and the 2 remote controls.

The other options are solar roof, extended leather, cooled seats, power close doors, ADAPTIVE CRUISE, Bose, …..UV glass, plus more.

The car is a beautiful Night Blue colour with beige interior.
This is an 18 yr old car but the condition belies its age.

Loads and loads of paperwork to back up its 186k miles.

I have used this car for commuting between Lancashire and Heathrow and it still feels tight and silky smooth and regularly returns 40 plus mpg. It’s pulling power (not for the ladies &#128512 is phenomenal, as people familiar with this v8 twin turbo

Obviously, the car is mot without its faults….

I’ll discuss in detail with any potential buyer, who contacts me.

Like many members here I’ve had several A8s, but, this is the one I’ve had the longest and am therefore in no rush to get rid.

I’ve recently bought a D5 - to see me through my last year or so of commuting.

I’m looking for £4500 for the car (I’ve looked on autotrader to try and get comparisons).

It’s currently on a private plate - which won’t come with the car.

Having recently dinged this A8 - destroying the o/s rear outer lamp and scuffing the rear panel and bumper…….and realising the scarcity of these rear lamps, I will consider sensible offers and genuine interest in the car.
