Take all 3 conectors out, and put one of the audio ones into the video connectors, that'll tell you if it's broken at the cable end or the tuner end.

well i thought about doing that but the audio cable is different the video cable is just 2 cables and the audio is one cable with 3 connectors so they are different, but i see your point and there is no harm in trying it

Well im going to have another go at this today i have had a breand new cable set come out to me and i will try that in case it was the cable i will have to dril a hole in the boot because the connectors on the end of the number plate light go no where they just come out of a tiny hole, but i did not want to start on fitting the camera if the av imput did not work for some reason

and to top it off the guy with the LWB tdi had the hybred tuner and said i could have it for 150quid but then he went and part exed it for a bently arnage T bugger

Do you think you need RGB?
This was the case with older Audi/VWs and googling "audi reversing camera rgb" has a lot of hits for newer models too.

well there has been a development, i pluged in a DVD player and that now works on the AV2 but when i try it on AV1 its playing the sound and its trying to display the video but its all scrambled like a loose conection, so i have pulled it out and in again and all sorts, but the thing is that the Camera works fine in the house with the tv and then i take it outside with its own power and just plug in to the AV2 witch i know is working because the dvd player is pluged in but it wont display anything ?
but the AV2 works fine
and the camera works fine in the house but put them together and it wont display the image ? real head scratcher this is

and the camera working in the house is just an AV imput the same as the car so why the hell wont it work ?
