it could just be the coding on the module, I guess the coding is different between a car that has voice control and bluetooth than just bluetooth for example. The coding would tell the module where the microphone is connected. Assuming of course you have not forgotten to plug the mic in, or plugged it into the wrong connection.

Might also be worth reviewing this thread. http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2850266
Seems to be the same issue.

Try coding the bluetooth module as 0010900 which is the coding for no voice control, assuming your car does not have voice control. Currently its coded for German voice control.

Del, I don't know, but the guys I spoke with, Audi's Master Technician for years with a huge experience as he was working as a MT all over the world, told me he seen bluetooth modules going wrong many times during MMI update and the only straight forward fix was to replace with exact same SW number and last letter

PsYcHe, that's what I thought, but mic on or off makes no difference

Manny, it's 2am now so I quickly looked at the links you posted and I think I found a clue. In second link there is another link explaining the coding of 07 Control Head and when I did Auto-Scan last Sunday I've noticed this:

Address 07: Control Head Labels: 4E0-910-7xx-07.lbl
Part No SW: 4E0 910 769 P HW: 4E0 035 729

Thanks for that link to Ross-Tech as well. I was so annoyed with it I wasn't thinking about looking in the obvious places.

I will see if there is a guide for adaptation and basic settings of Control Head.
Will also try adaptation and will do basic settings as well for the phone 77

To clarify your suggestion about plugging the mic and voice control.

I've got OEM bluetooth and Voice Control as well hence I used 2 instead of 0.
I haven't touched the mic either.
There is no separate connection for the mic, just one big connector, one fibre optic connection and aerial connection.

THANK YOU GUYS
Will update you later on, let me have 5h of sleep and I will start digging into it

Control head problem is easy to fix, I had that after I did the MMI upgrade.

07 - Control Head,

Adaption Channel 12, most likely set to zero like mine was. Pick the correct setting from below.

0 - No Telephone installed
1 - Fixed Motorola Phone (eg. Phone handset in centre console)
2 - Mobile Phone Prep or Bluetooth installed.
3 - Telematics installed.

From that I suspect you need to set it to 2

Frustration level - 98%

This just messed up my whole day today.
Where to start???

First of all Voice Control 67 - NOT Working any more, when pressed, message: ''Button not used''
Advanced measuring blocks:
- voltage 0
- Mic 1, 2 & 3 - 0
[IMG][/IMG]

- No soft codding in Voice Control, no adaptation function
[IMG][/IMG]

Steering wheel is coded as it should be for Voice Control
[IMG][/IMG]

Control Head 07
- no fault codes
- coding 0000002
- Adaptation; Manny, I've got a slightly different options in channel 12, number 2 is a Mobile Phone Base Plate Installed --> NOT Mobile Phone Prep or Bluetooth installed ????
[IMG][/IMG]

Telephone 77
- no fault codes
- coding 0010920 (MMI High, with MOST, Voice Control English (UK))
- adaptation channel 133 (Bluetooth), 1-ON, tested OK
- Adv. measuring blocks, all looks fine

Control Head adaption channel 12, Value of 2 is correct from what I have found looking online for the Bluetooth as well as the phone base plate (AKA phone prep). You could try a value to 3 which is for telematics

Cheers Manny
At least that's OK. Will call Chris later on to see what he thinks about all this situation.
Can you spot anything guys?? Could you post your codings and state if you have a Voice Control or not. Could you post your advanced measuring blocks as well for 67-VC & 77-Tel, IF YOU CAN of course.
