My squashed replacement ebay wheel with paddles 😭 I can't fit this to my car it would ruin the feel. Steering wheel isone of the most important parts. Its a shame i cant transplant the paddles. I was expecting blanking plates behind my wheel but no such luck.

Your air bag will fit this wheel, but as its in this state you will need another wheel as you can't (as you found out yourself) fit paddles on to wheel which had non from factory.
Send it back.

To be fair he has refunded all money except £7 postage so i have a wheel with switches and paddles for £7.

Do you think my airbag will fit the 3 spoke wheel in your link a few posts up or do i have to get the exact 4 spoke wheel ?

I think that 3 and 4 spoke airbags are slightly different, the shape around the spoke being the difference - you will probably need a matching set

I swapped a 4 spoke non-paddle wheel on my D3 to a later 3 spoke sports wheel with perforated leather which looks better and gave me paddles, but the airbags for each stayed in each. I swapped my old wheel in against the new one and it reduced the price from the breakers too

Dont laugh. Try no.2 purchased another steering wheel of eBay all looked good so fitted it tonight. All was going well until it was time to put airbag back. It wouldn't fit. The new wheel was off an a3 and all though it looked the same the airbag was slightly deeper and screws at the wrong angle so its back to square one 😭

I'm not laughing. (Honest)

Whereabouts are you Simon? The place I got my airbag had countless airbags on a shelf. I took my pick.

I am guessing that the airbag should stay the same. Are they not designed fit the size and shape of the car ?
