Default D2S Bulb ???

Hi There,

Got a bulb out warning light. WHOOP

Drivers side, so airbox out, i'm missing a wheel arch cover and it was gritty so bit of cleaning, and managed to pop the projector beam bulb.

Philips D2S, tested out and the bulb dead. I had a spare Osram bulb from my D2 of years back and popped in the ballast and BINGO lights on.

Alas there were some slight differences, mainly a notch. Did a bit of a search and some cheap bulbs come up and BOTH fitment. 5 mins filing a tiny circular notch and BINGO it fitted. Bit of cotorsion later and bulb in holder!

Tried to put the power cable on the ballast, NO go. Odd, was easy when testing. What's that bit of plastic fouling. Tries with dead bulb and it's some sort of safety thingy that needs the bulb it to work (also just found this thread)

Bulb, Ballast, Cable it is then!

Fitted, airbox back in (i hate that thing) and I have lights!!!

However I'm guessing they're temporary (so years then) and I should swap them for a proper D2S bulbs

Any recommendations now i don't need 'em like yesterday ???

And how MUCH swearing is required to do the passenger side one
