Default Parking Sensor

I ordered a ready painted parking sensor from a Supplier I have used before in Germany, however they sent the wrong one. They are in the process of sending me the correct one but don't want the wrong part returned..so if anyone has use for a 4B0919275B painted LZ9W then they can have it for the price of postage

I believe LZ9W is the colour of my car. Ebony black pearl, right?

I don't need one right now but I'll take it off you at the next meet if nobody else needs one before then. Unless you need rid of it of course.

I'll happily give you what you paid for it (or a few beers, whichever is preferable) and it'll save on postage

dont think it will fit your car Mark. I got it for my S8 and it's the wrong part..correct old one on the right, new wrong one on the left..I presume they are all the same part numbers on the S8

That part number comes back as suitable for an A4 or A6 1998 up to 2005/06 depending on the model

I can look into it in a bit more detail if you want, but I'd just stick in on ebay with the part number and paint code and see if someone needs one

Ah, yes. Pretty sure any sensors that I've changed previously look like your old one on the right.

According to my notes, the part number should be 4B0919275 (without the B suffix) or 7M3919275A (which I think is an equivalent part number). I would guess that the 4B0919275B part you have is electrically identical but may not physically fit.

The correct part number for mine is the same as the wrongly supplied one but with an "A" suffix. Even if it did fit it would look "the wrong way" if you get my drift and would make my teeth itch...

A while back when i got my A8 D3 PF I had a couple of not working parking sensors. I still had some on a loom from my old FL D2. They look different in terms of the sensor end, but the connection was the same and they fitted the holes so I tried them out and.....They work fine. I meant to change them over at some point but had pretty much forgotten about it. The car is hardly perfect paint / body and more of a work horse for me....
