Default Icarsoft V2

Hi I tried to post a querey a few moments ago but I think something went wrong.

Anyhow I have an Icarsoft V2 for my outgoing MB E-class which was very useful.

I see they do a version for VAG products. Would anyone recommend this or suggest a better alternative?

Cheers Steve

Don't know anything about Icarsoft, but most people on here tend to favour VCDS as the go-to software for their cars. OBDeleven and Carista are other options, but they're mobile apps and I'm an old school computer user.

Thanks Steamship. I guess VCDS is an OBD2 cable and softwear. I'm not in possession of a particularly good laptop and tend to prefer a handheld self-contained unit myself. I'll study it a bit more

Cheers Steve

It is indeed. Their website is as follows:

https://www.ross-tech.com/

and you can purchase it from this company in the UK (there may be others):

https://www.gendan.co.uk/

Specification wise for a PC, I'm running VCDS on an ancient Lenovo X200 with Windows 7, along with other car related software.
