4.2 TDI - engine diagram

hi,

has anyone got any hints where EGR and MAF is/are on 4.2 TDI?

and also what are the part no.'s for those?

cheers... it looks like that one of the two MAF's is playing up so will look to replace both in due course.

In the meantime to be absolutely sure it is indeed MAF, [stupid Q] if I was to disconnect them both could I start the car? or one would have to start it and then disconnect etc.

also, any suggestion of where to source the part/s?

As far as I am aware the engines will run on a default map with them disconnected. Can't do any harm to try, you will no doubt have a mil light on and faults to clear after the fact but I'm sure that's the least of your concerns

Q: is it worth changing the air filter [changed 6K ago] as I found lot of sand/small stones and all sort of rubbish in both housings (4.2 TDI engine)?
