Newbie Help RE overheating at Idle...
Hi Everyone
I've not long had the car but noticed today after popping into a shop and leaving the car running other half in the car and the temp was up at around 110 -115 no warning light though oh I did have the air con on and the car doesn't overheat when driving no matter how briskly now i was thinking waterpump or viscous fan fault. I did check the fan at this point and could get about 3/4 of a turn by flicking it, the thing is I cant remember whether or not it's to spin this much hot or nigh on lock up the car's done 108K pf D2 4.2 Q Sport with fash any help greatly recieved Dan Last edited by MiLo; 19th May 2009 at 07:41 PM. |

Have you checked whether the electric fan is coming on? The viscous sounds like it is fine it should be stiff when hot and less resistant when cold.
