Guys I have made a label file so the info presents it self a bit better, It still needs some work but all the measuring blocks are there.

Save the file named Test-13.txt into your Ross-tech\Labels\User folder then rename it to test-13.lbl

Once you run VCDS that file will start working

I read threads like this and am geninely awestruck at them!

Does it never worry you that you'll start a job like this, get halfway through, and think "Hmm. This really isn't going to work out", then put everything back together, find you have a shoebox of parts that you can't remember where to fit, and find that the steering wheel now applies the handbrake?

Haha, lots of research, plenty of time, and methodical approach to the work, but I'll be honest I was a bit worried that it might not work

Guy, Mannyo, Having done further tests with mine it seems as though no matter how many times I check it the value for vertical offset never shows anything other than 0.00 even after I have adjusted it.

For the horizontal adjustment, the value changes on every drive cycle, so it seems as though it constantly learns, the drive back from Norwich was all twisty and i suspect that gave some large offsets, but having tested it up and down the dual carriage way close to my home the readings are not far off.

I do think I need a four wheel alignment done as the steering angle sensor, and yaw rate just wont 0 out.

So that will be a trip to Audi

As for the Vertical adjustment I will make a mirror box that fits over the radar dome so i can bounce a laser level off it and see where it points.

Its a similar method to what Audi would do to calibrate it.

Guy for you if your wanting to get the cover off I found it was a right pain and the answer to getting it off easy and adjusting the horizontal screw is to remove the number plate surround you will then see two hole that you can push an allen key into to depress the cover plate springs.

The adjustment screw is accessed through the left hand hole.

Only in the winter time, this radar freezes and stops working. It's really a headache when your cruise control stops working.

There is a sensor heater, Z47, unfortunately I don't have a part number.

Edit; just checked the current flow and the heater was dropped from MY 2005.

So I say, in Russia it is a big problem! When you have a cold -20* C, the radar shuts down.

Privet,

You've checked as8.ru to see how others deal with it?

Is yours factory or retro fit?
