Default Power steering hose leak 4.2 tdi

I have read the brilliantly detailed post on changing the pipe that goes to the cooler, but, my v8 diesel appears to be leaking in a different location.
My leak drops down onto the GBox sump (and the large connector plug on it) and streams back along the sump and then drips everywhere.
When you lay under the car, with the 2 gearbox plastic covers removed, it’s obvious it’s above the connector plug but very difficult to identify the location of leak - even with the engine running.
With the near side wheel removed, looking through the gator cover, I can see a pipe that looks damp (though not dripping). It transpires the part no of this is 4e2422891s - I just wondered if anyone has replaced this pipe? (I’ve not removed it yet but looked at the ETKA drawing).

I haven’t taken the offside wheel off yet to see the other end of the pipe (if it’s visible), but, if anyone has done the job did you just pull the pipe through any side?
On the side I can see (N/S) it’s a union connection, so, I guess the offside is going to be the banjo connection.
Any help anyone can suggest would be greatly appreciated.
I have been topping up the fluid and it’s had a leak stop treatment too…..

I’m a bit late with this….
My issue was the power steering supply hose.
It was about £360 from Audi, but, I had one made up for about £60.
Doing the job took a fair while and I do intend to post my pics and a detailed description - just in case it might help someone else.
Basically, after removing all the wheel arch innards from both sides, it meant undoing both ends of the pipe/hose, with poor access. One end was a ‘banjo’ style connection the other a union connection.

The hardest part, in my opinion, was removing the Allen head bolt that goes through a kind of ‘P clip’ this houses both power and return pipes together and connects to a mounting point.

After finally fighting with this, due poor access, I convinced my self it would not be getting refitted 😀 (but quality of work got the better of me and I did - that was a mare too!).

I connected wire/cable to the opposite end of the pipe from which your pulling from, and then it was gentle pulls and rotations to remove the pipe.

Installation is made much easier with an extra pair of hands to pull the cable whilst you feed in - again with gentle rotations to negotiate the small orifices your feeding through.

I will follow this up with pics, but, if you read this and have any Qs - pls PM me.

Forgot to say ….my pipe replacement was from the rear of the engine, under the bulkhead area.
