All good points but the seller is hoping/looking for something substantially more than £5K.
At £4K5 I could consider it.

£5k isn't bad for the spec if someone is looking to keep it. We know on here that the car was well looked after and there aren't many with that spec.
Never thought about that, assuming of course that the seller has also posted negative feedback on the 'winning' bidders feedback page.

For £5k I'd buy it, considering I was trying to buy it when it was listed on here for sale at £9.5k in September 2017!

This time the auction was for 1 day only, starting price £5k and no bids were made. It seems the seller ended the auction early. Perhaps to stop a last-minute bidder getting it for £5 as it seems they want more than that.

It might be worth messaging them an offer if you or anyone else is interested.

For a little over 6k you could have mine

The new family wagon is on its way and my new car is here now so the Audi needs to go.... she's been a fabulous steed (mostly I think because I've ensured a well respected independent has looked after the car and nothing skimped in terms of servicing)

I'd love to hang on and get what I think my A8 is worth but its a diminishing returns play.... she needs to go for what I can get now, not 6 months time.

If anyone is interested, no haggles, lowest possible price is £6k for a quick sale but there's no wiggle room at all in that (and I'm advertising for more elsewhere right now)

I'm uploading some pics to a Flickr account so will link to that in this thread shortly - would be nice to get rid of all the unrelated eBay posts if possible.... is that possible?

Cheers

I think 6K is still going to struggle to raise interest if I'm honest.

Its the top tax disc, a rather safe colour combo and its an SE rather than the more desirable Sport.

It has a scuff to the rear bumper, so is in no better condition than the other one which struggled to make 5K - and it had much nicer wheels.

The other car was a known entity, which people on here had sought to own previously, and even so it struggled to sell.

B&O is nice, better still if its one of the rare ones which doesn't have a blown centre or front door speakers, but its days of commanding a massive premium are behind it I think.

If you want rid quicker, drop it to 5K.

If you want 6K+, you're going to need to get it on the likes of Autotrader and be very patient.

But I don't think you're going to get much bite from this forum as most folks already have an A8, and those that don't, are very, very particular in what they want to buy......
