S8 film here. You're welcome
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw...1BtV21JSFVYUm8

Loads of unrelated build up before with the trio d!cking about but the S8 appears at 13:00mins in, then just skip through the other feature in the middle of the S8 film to see the rest.

I enjoyed the first episode, in the main. The second was OK, amusing in parts (the parts I didn't FF through).

James shooting the Queen did make me laugh. Must admit.

It's OK, first episode was good(ish), 2nd a bit less good but still better than Evans Top Gear. I feel like one good thing has been split in 2 mediocre things. Maybe I am getting old but I am enjoying old Top Gear re-runs on Dave more, i have to say that i liked older Top Gear more than last seasons of Clarkson's anyway.

Well put Ainar - without wanting to sound like an "the old days were the best" fogey, the early TG was the best. No egos, far less OTT tomfoolery, and the principal focus was the cars, with some fun thrown in.
Now milking a formula past its sell by date and pandering to egos and $$$, so not for me.

Yes, same sentiment here....

The last GT was 10% brain dump of information about an Aston, that you can't drive on the road, in a race or in most cases even afford but was entertaining for sure.

Then we have the special forces training sketch. Um. That was 90% of 3 guys just having a laugh.

Very well produced, as ever, and funny in places, but the one opportunity they had to actually talk about the S8 plus, they just didn't, which made it really quite pointless.

Half an hour plus of 1 item, and no one knows how fast it is, how big the engine is, what is different on the plus.......

In terms of automotive journalism, I do honestly think it was utter crap.

They are a funny crew, but that's going to wear thin very soon, and as already said, they've taken one good program and split it into 2, with both suffering.

Clarkson, May and Hammond might have been the talent, but it seems they needed a little discipline from the Beeb to make the show relevant as well as funny.

Like Top Gear, I had high hopes for this, but its not looking good. Its bad news when the missus has lost interest and most of the kids don't want to watch it. Ep 3 I will be watching on my own.

No bother getting everyone to watch Planet Earth II though, amazing production that.....

The Daily Town Car - 2023 Tesla Model Y Performance. Black with Black. Giant ipad screen, huge sunroof, 4 wheel drive, Tow bar, lots of ooomph and made in China, so actually built properly unlike the Californian ones.

Black, 7 Seats, Towbar, Homelink, Enhanced Auto pilot with Summon and self park, Heated front seats, CCS Charger upgrade, MCU2 Upgrade, Falconwing Doors, Self opening / closing doors, Netflix, Spotify, toys, Air suspension, alcantara roof + lots of other stuff......

The 17 year old Driver Wagon 2015 Skoda Citigo Monte Carlo. Alloys, Power steering, Aircon, Leccy windows, Sat Nav, bluetooth, central locking, cup holders, 59 whole bhp. Million times better than my first car. Well jealous.....

I thought I missed something last night! At least there's the iPlayer

I do agree about The Grand Tour. The format will get old quite quickly, I've been trying to decide if it's worth subscribing to and after watching episode 1 I'm not really sure. If I already had Amazon Prime I'd watch it, but can't say I'd buy it purely for TGT. My wife even commented that the font for the credits looked the same as Top Gear!

I hope that the new series of Top Gear changes to a different format, they should have done when Chris Evens took over as then it wouldn't look like they're trying to copy the other three.

Thanks for the reminder! Gonna get that downloaded!

Speaking of Attenborough, for anyone who missed it, this was his take on the whole TG/Clarkson kerfuffle:
