So, some 10 years after I started this thread, is the D2 S8 any nearer to classic status?

I paid 3,250 for my early FL (1999 reg'd, 2000 model year) black S8, with black leather and black wood. That was in 2009.

It had 88K on it then, now nearly 160K.
