Yet another problem, lumpy running and CEL

My D3 3.7 has literally just started running lumpy and the CEL starts flashing.

I cleared the faults and started the car again, same errors recurred on the same cylinder number 4.

Suspect coilpack I guess, question is which is cylinder 4 (assume standing in front of car).

I've managed to get the car booked into Poole Audi for the coilpack workshop bulletin to be completed on Friday, lets hope the coil on cylinder 4 is genuine Audi. Just need to get the car recovered from Blandford to Poole before Friday.

Had a look this evening, nothing obviously wrong externally.

Will ring the AA tomorrow to arrange recovery to Poole Audi, tried this evening but they can only book into the following day.

Coil Pack recall?

That's good news if you get it done for free.

The AA would not arrange recovery without a patrol attending first, so thats now happened. He was a bit miffed that they sent him as he could do nothing knowing full well it's likely a coil pack gone down. He had VW coil packs in the van but not the Audi red ones, and they looked different.

So recovery is arranged for tomorrow from Blandford to Poole, hopefully will go smoothly. He has requested a flatbed, but he said it could be a tow behind one of their vans with all four wheels on the ground because the distance is less than 30 miles. As long as the driver does not exceed 30mph for the trip the car should be fine apparently. I am not travelling with the car, so have no idea.

There is no in hell I would let anyone tow or dolly the 8 or any past 4x4.
No mater what they say, it's not happening.
Flat bed a 4x4 only.

I had a argument with AA in the past about towing my XR4x4. 3rd driver got it right with a flat bed.

The handbook says it can be done for less than 50kms at 50kmh max, I am a little wary though as the car is 10 years old with 133K miles on it with all that associated wear.

Drove it to the office this morning (1 mile) and its like driving a bag of spanners.

And the car has been picked up, a local recovery company have been subcontracted and its on a flatbed on its way. I've spoken to Poole Audi to let them know it should be with them in the next hour.
