Having found this forum by accident, I already feel its a real helpful and friendly place especially the banters between members.

But, this thread I found is real shocking:

that's why many of us, me included, don't bother with other forums.

Although the ad is about 2 years old, pretty sure they weren't making 10k then either, so the vendor was being a bit of a plonker to be fair, and not stating an asking price, not posting pics etc

I agree - I think he was trying to generate some interest before deciding on a price - still judging from the thread it does seems he was unsure how to post pics...i'll give him that.

thats the car Jim ended up buying I think, which he sold on to David, and your right Sarg even back then £10k was OTT, mine was a lot less in Nov 10 with 68k on it as was Adrian's with similar mileage to this one I believe

OOhh that's a bit cruel Brian. Yes it was the car Jim bought and I have just given Jim back his personalised plates and gone back to the originals. For the price I paid Jim it was an outstanding car - where can you get such a high class car which puts a smile on your face EVERY time you get into it. Jim had done a lot to the car so, amongst other things, it has the extended leather pack and it is, apart from a few spots of gravel damage on the bonnet, an immaculate car. I have just done a round trip from Scotland to the Isle of Wight and never enjoyed a car journey better. Even my wife agreed that there was no better way to travel.

sorry, not meant to be cruel David, and hope Jim doesnt take it as such, like to think its within the OP's definition of banter, and what makes this forum better than most IMHO

No I wasn't in bed

No, I didn't take any offence

Yes, it was my car

No, it's not a final edition

No, I didn't pay £10K for it

And I only put part of the extended leather pack on David - just the lower dash and transmission tunnel panels

There we go! But I agree, the forum was pretty rude. Much nicer guys here!
