Replace Spark Plugs Question
To remove the coil pack, do I need a special tool, so that I can change the plugs?

You don't need a special tool but you can buy them - they look like a flat hockey stick
I have one after finding it in my engine bay after my a6 went in for coil pack recall! You can pry the plug off with a small screwdriver but its very easy to snap the wiring plug clip so take it gently until you know you're applying force in the right place and direction!
