That is nice Dean. A lot of car for the money.

I've been considering something similar myself to use as a second vehicle, although I've been leaning more towards an S6 -- I'd prefer petrol and I like to have a bit of power, even if it will be just a runaround vehicle. I wouldn't feel safe in anything smaller so, short of buying a second '8, I think it has to be an S6 or A6 Allroad. The Allroad is only available in diesel though, right?

The 3.0 TDI is no slouch with 233bhp.
7.6sec 0-60mph isn't quite S6 territory but it's good enough around town.

In the UK you'll find most with a 2.7 TDI engine, slightly less with the 3.0 TDI and very rarely you'll find the 4.2 V8.
But the V8 does come up every so often and they are usually well specced too.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

That is mildly more interesting.

I was looking at 4.2 C6's last night. Didn't realise they did an allroad version.

Would love an S6, but I've had very bad look with the V10's in them.

Must admit, that Allroad looks pretty good in those photos you posted...

C6 is a piece of cake to work on too, not that they generally go too badly wrong in the first place...

I'm looking out for them all the time, and Dean's above is the one to have. Correct colour and engine, excellent spec and nice and clean.

haha definitely tempted Brian!

Are you selling?

A big, fast estate is exactly what I need.

Or rather, a big estate is what I *need*, a fast one is what I *want*.

Just about the only thing that puts me off buying an RS6 as a runaround is stealability. I'd like something quick but something that will still be sat on the drive in the morning.

Haha, don't think i've not considered it - I even looked at C5's.

But I've had 2 C6 RS6's and they are mind blowing machines, but unless you can buy one that you know and trust has had all or most of the expensive bits done recently, they are a multi-thousand pound risk, which is not what I want at all right now*

* don't ever quote me on this, just in case I find something risky I fancy ;-)

Very tempting. But might be difficult to justify it as a cheap-ish 'leave anywhere' runaround

And, the trouble is, now you've got me looking at this and seriously thinking "Well, if I'm gonna spend £20K, what's another £20K or so ... "

Sod the practicality. You can buy roof racks for the R8, right?
