Plastic spreader rivets
Hi folks recently managed to damage my front passenger rear under arch trim. Now I have managed to source a secondhand one from fleabay but I see few of the plastic rivets are damaged or missing. Part no 8z0807300b also the plastic hex nut part no 171201969. Any idea if these could be purchased elsewhere apart from stealers? I see few on fleabay but not sure which ones are right size
Cheers

I got some that look like what you want from ebay after breaking a few when taking my arch liner off, the metal speednut was for one of the screws at the bottom edge as it had rusted. The plastic push pins worked on the front and rear, the hex nuts I bought years ago and don't remember seeing them on the weelarch but I seem to recall some plastic threads snapping off - was it for them?
I haven't tried all of them yet. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-Trim-...0/371853734384 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5x-KUNSTS.../181699968556/ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speed-Fas...p/322352260488 Last edited by snapdragon; 22nd May 2018 at 07:57 PM. |

Thanks Snap. I have actually seen the rivers from the same company so will probably order from them and anything not found would probably have to get from stealers or TPS

I remember now, the plastic nuts were stuck hard and when I turned them, the threaded plastic 'stud' snapped off flush on the inner metal arch. I drilled the remaining thread out with a drill and used push pin rivets for those too.
Good luck with sourcing new ones. |
