Default What's significant about 138,082.35 miles?

Well it reads like this on a km/h Speedo:

2002 Audi S8 - Project
Replacement head coming arrived thanks to MJ
Silver with Black interior. All features as the '01, with the 'S' mode auto shifter. Dodgey rear tint (need to find a way to get rid of that).
Family:
2009 Volvo XC90 V8 R Design
- has a louder more obnoxious exhaust than the S8, sounds great! Love this thing - Q7 was double the price, and certainly not double the car!

Sold:
1997 Audi A4
- Hamilton's Club Sport, Achat Grey (will miss the old girl)

I was expecting the answer to be that it reads as something upside down.

You know, like we all did in school on our pocket calculators: 58008.618

Or was that just my school? ...

What else would you use a calculator for

The other one I remember was 710.77345.
There used to be a story attached that would run you through calculations that would result in that answer - buggered if I can remember the story!

The story leading to Mark's answer is called "Adolescence" - or maybe "Testosterone"!

The modern kids miss out on that stuff, iPads don't display the old digital figures on their calculator screen!

Mmm... 5318008!

Yeah, they can get all the 5318008 they want now, in HD.

We had to use out imaginations!

I'd forgot about the Shell Oil one and the "magical sum" that produced it (which was quite obviously derived by working backwards from the answer).
