I've had three separate comments in the last 24 hours - maybe I've been looking for them more, now that the car's mobile again...

Not quite what I had in mind, but it'll do for now!

My opportunity for winding the car up to the legal speed limit ()is the A82 Renton by-pass, just south of Loch Lomond. It's very quiet at 6:20am! Once I'm on the M8, it's too busy, even that early in the morning for any spirited driving - and coming home is usually stop start traffic.

Indeed. And very nice it is too!

I do love the original 'Ronin' S8 looks. I had an identical looking S8 'replica' myself for a couple of years before I got my S8; same colour combination as yours, same wheels, chrome mirrors etc but unfortunately it was just a 4.2 Quattro Sport.

Down the hard shoulder presumably? ... Or do you get up VERY early?

Last time I joined the M25 I just parked-up, like everyone else.

Default Daily use d2 S8

Yup. Daily use as a runabout and the odd 350 mile commute.

Just changed out the oil in the diff and gearbox, re furbed the wheels and stuck new Goodyear's on them, touched up the body work and re sprayed, full service...

Running like a dream and apart from the odd random abs light and the obgligitory air bag warning light, everything works fine and is totally original. I'm the second owner.

I enjoy putting my boot down and I'm sure the car responds better to activity than sloth.

Nice to be different!
