Default D3 upgrade to Bluetooth phone connectivity

Hello folks,
After searching about on this forum I cannot seem to find a ‘clean’ description on how to upgrade my D3 to connect my android phone via Bluetooth. I’m not looking for music streaming or DAB.

My S8 D3 is a 2006 With no Bluetooth or DAB. The car has the phone kit although mine is missing the actual phone...

I’d be pleased with a factory Bluetooth if I can track down whatever module off eBay ‘ to keep it simple.

I know there are aftermarket £500 modules and if necessary I can consider that option but I’m not fussed about all those other features...

if you can point me in the right direction for the Audi Bluetooth upgrade option please?

Cheers,

My D2 had a Parrot CK3100 kit in it when I bought it and it's very good but is phone only. Not sure if its still available but suspect updated version may well cost much more and provide functionality you dont need if you only require phone, but hey thats progress apparently these days

If you already have a phone, its a simple process to swap the phone version module to the later bluetooth one.

Avoid the parrot kits they are not compatible with the most bus used in the D3.

It has been covered here.
