Default Idiots guide to 2006 audio upgrade please!

Hi all,
With a 2006 a8 with the B&O system, what’s the options with an audio upgrade?
I definitely want iPod connection. Tv was nice but rarely used on my previous car.

I’m figuring the car will have a 2mmi system as standard?

Amg ideas on coatings and whether it’s a diy update or need professional installation much appreciated.

Thanks as always

If you have AMI in the glovebox, I believe there was an iPod lead for it

If the car has AMI, then yes there is an interface with an apple cable on the end.

The other option, if the car has TV, then the TV module in the back has an AV1 and AV2 input which you can use for a Bluetooth receiver or even an android auto unit.

I believe one of our Antipodean cousins in this very parish has connected something similar.

Has your TV got sources for AV1 and AV2?

I don't have my 8 any more but if you have the telly on, one of the options is INPUT or something similar.

If you have AUX1 or 2, I have the adaptor leads for you which gives you L, R and Video RCA female sockets when connected to the TV receiver in the boot. I also have a little HDMI > RCA converter box.

Can do you a deal, they are not going to be used by me. I never used them in my 8 because the stereo was so bad I stopped listening to it.
