Agreed a brilliant approach to repair a failed part and we should do more of this, rather than bin the old and buy a new one from the dealer.

Just read the article and had to laugh a little about the QashQai boot handle. My brother in-law had one and sure enough he had tape holding the handle in place! If I had known sooner I'd have pointed him to X8R but he's sold the car now.
