Default Big Brother absolutely IS watching you!

I don't know how many of you here used Linkedin, but I'd guess a fair few.
I've only ever had an absolutely minimal presence for a business I've long retired from and it's identity is totally separate from my social and domestic life, or so I thought.

Yet I keep getting suggested contacts that have a uncannily high proportion of people I know, though aren't close/regular friends.

Today Tintin's happy smiling face popped up. I've seen a few others from here in the past.

Whatever algorithms and data sources Linkedin use they're pretty canny!

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

It must be Friday today then, otherwise it would've been my usual scowl...

Definitely happy, almost didn't recognise you.

Also today I got listed my daughter, one of her bridesmaids and an old school friend who I've known for well over 60 years and lives in Dorset. But none of them have any link I'm aware of to my very restricted Linkedin profile. OK daughter maybe surname and geography, she lives relatively near though in a different county!

Could it be that the other person has your details and it's reverse suggesting a link?

Do you have the LinkedIn app on a mobile that may contain contact details?

That's all I can think of, but almost no-one that comes up would have or use my old/defunct business information. And no App.
