Definitely one for our sponsors I'd say.

On my old S8 I replaced it with an external glass-mount one as I couldn't find one anywhere and wasn't aware of our sponsors (or maybe they hadn't started?)

1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Default Aerial replacement

On my D3 S8, I fitted a DAB aerial in the normal D3 location at rear of roof. I bought a mag moinmt one from Dab on wheels website. Please note that with aluminum body you need a number plate sticky pad. (Ask how I know...). This has a Fakra connector on the end, same as SatNav systems.

(See my signature picture)

Good luck

The antenna is attached from inside the rear quarter. You'll need to remove the boot side trim to get to it, and iirc there's one bolt holding it to a bracket. It then drops down out of the rubber grommet - the force it needs can be quite scary as they're all pretty crusty by now. If it's stuck, tt helps to drop some lubricant (WD-40 etc) down between the aerial base and the gromment from outside, and then wiggle it around a bit to free it. The grommet is then just a push-fit in the panel.

There are a couple of versions of the aerial base depending on which options the car has (phone prep etc), and it has different connectors accordingly.

Ah, sorry, you mean the whip aerial, not GPS.

Isn't that just for the telephone?
