I LOVE the interior on your W12, shame they are so slow.

It is matching my expectations before I bought the car, therefore is acceptable, as I'm saving about £15-20 per 100miles of driving on fuel alone.

I will admit though, I still miss my old S8, especially the sense of occasion and well being it imparted. You just need to persuade Ranj to stop calling it 'Reffro's S8', its 'Ranj's S8'.

A standard W12 comes out of the factory with many wheel options but the most poular is a 255-40-19 they are very sexy on the final ed 20" wheels from the D2 i think they suit the stature of the car remarkably i will post some pictures up later that were taken today by a photographer as he is doing my new Tri folds for me will post up at around 10pm or so

Definitely not electric rear seats and child locks wouldn't stop me getting into the bloody car in the first place!

Turned out the settings under Car/Central Locking needed changing as all of the other doors were set to Off. Set them to On and I can get in any door now.

Really should read the manual properly but then again I'm a bloke and manuals are for wimps!

You said that about my S8

When I first saw it I wasn't sure but now I really like it. Different to the usual black/grey/cream leather I usually see in 8's

Yeah I know Amar...I've seen the video!

Bloody comfortable though...just wait until you get to my age. You'll appreciate the benefits more than you do now!

Yeah...sounds about right. Although now its got proper Bluetooth, AMI with 250GB HDD (although prefer 64GB iPod as its quicker & easy to sync with no buggering about with playlists) & Hybrid tuner courtesy of CraigyB.

Just need to get hold of a genuine 2012 Navi DVD and sort wheels/tyres out.

Price was even fairer as I got it for £1500 less than asking!

Mileage was higher than I would have liked but when the novelty has worn off my usage will drop so hopefully get to enjoy it for a couple more years yet.

Same price as I paid for my S8 in 2006 with nearly as many miles on it and although I never thought I would say it in a million years a better car.

Never chose a car based on economy and don't really want to start now but just needed to get it out of my system...last roll of the dice before I have to be sensible and choose a soot-chucker as my steed.

Probably.

You're not wrong...looking at a hardback W12 brochure and it lists 8 different wheel options in both 8.5J & 9J sizes!

I have the common 255/40/19 with a mixed bag of tyres but the D3 is parked next to my S8 standing on those 9-spoke Final Edition alloys you mention shod with 255/35/20 Michelin Pilot Sport with only a few thousand on the clock.

Might just swap them over and see what she looks like...

Looking forward to those pictures you promised...

Pictures of S8 rolling on 9-spoke 20" Final Editions vs. W12 on standard 12-spoke 19" alloys

Really need to swap wheels round to see what it looks/handles like.

I'm guessing there won't be much difference between the 255/35/20 vs. 255/40/19
