Engine undertray
Not a pleasant sight, AA chap refitting the undertray, having been recovered to Membury services, the entire thing dropped down like a huge gaping mouth!
She had been in a garage for an oil change that morning, having spoken to the garage the 2 issues are unrelated! Anyway all ok, more annoyed about spending 4 hours resolving/waiting.

Same thing happened to me.
The securing bolts fell out, tray dropped down and scooped up road kill. I had to buy a new tray and a set full of bolts. Check your bolts and buy new bolts and clips to be sure.

This happened to me maybe 10k miles after an oil change.... I fitted new screws and used nuts and bolts too. That thing will never drop down again!!!
I think at every oil change the clips should be checked and renewed. The screws work loose and drop out. You don't know often til it's too late. Thankfully another motorist told me, and I got it off in a city centre (fun) and refitted when I had new screws. I'd recommend everyone check theirs. The screws and clips are available inexpensively on eBay.
