Default Servicing recommendations North(ish) London?

Looking to get cambelt and fluid changes completed on my recently acquired D2 S8

Thinking of using Motor continental in Crouch End primarily as they're conveninent and have largely positive reviews, although Whetstone Audi's fixed price cambelt quote is the same price as MC, although unsure if like for like in terms of what they actually change.

I see RAC-London also get decent reviews

Any one else recommended in North London or surrounding areas?

Cheers
Shirish

Depends how far you want to travel.
There's a place in Harrow I've seen people recommend for Audi and there's always Fontain in Iver, who do courtesy cars if you need one.
I use Fontain a fair bit, they did the last major service (cambelt etc.) on my current S8. Though that wasn't a fixed-price job in the list below.

Make sure that they replace the water pump and thermostat as well. I've attached a list of parts that should be on the list.

I think there's an auxiliary belt that's worth replacing at the same time, pretty sure I had that done as well as all the other "while we're in there" options.

£549 including water pump seems like good value for money, parts alone will be that much from dealer.

I think you've shown the 2 litre price, 799 for above 2 litre

So whetstone Audi have confirmed tensioners and pulleys are changed in the 799 price, but none of the other parts in the excel extract above.

Should I avoid on this basis? I got the standard response that no other parts are listed in their database as needing replacement

Going to call Motor Continental now to see what they change

Everyone I've ever used suggests thermostat and water pump "whilst we're in there" as it's a heck of a job to do at another date. The same goes for all the other parts - you're going to be paying a lot for labour so you might as well get the job done thoroughly whilst you're at it.

Audi will also tell you that the gearbox is sealed for life and doesn't need an oil and filter change! And that fairies live at the bottom of the garden!

I think my auxiliary belt was done at the service before the cam belt job. (what we used to call the fan belt I think).

Thanks

Is the auxiliary belt and the poly v belt the same thing?

The latter was highlighted as needed changing on the last invoice.
