Hi guys
New to the forum and a "new to me" 2003 A8 3.7 D3 owner. there are a few things that are not right so iv had the car analysed on VCDS. one of them is The parking assist just makes a continuous noise then the green dash light sits there blinking is the fix as easy as changing the sensor? Address 76: Park Assist Labels: 4E0-910-283.lbl Part No SW: 4E0 910 283 HW: 4E0 919 283 A Component: Parkhilfe 8-Kan H07 0030 Coding: 0101008 Shop #: WSC 02313 785 00200 VCID: E0C53E593358029 1 Fault Found: 01545 - Sensor for Parking Aid; Rear Left (G203) 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100100 Fault Priority: 3 Fault Frequency: 67 Reset counter: 234 Mileage: 156795 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2015.01.03 Time: 15:08:48 Another one that came up was HVAC Dose anyone know the fis for this one? Parking sensor issue speaks for itself but you can do some testing via measuring blocks but obv prob broken or harness loose (unlikely).
HVAC code = servo controlling flap across heater blower either linkage has detached / servo has a problem / blockage preventing linkage rod actuating fully. Try resetting all servos in VCDS via the HVAC option. I don't remember off the top of my head what group this is in but you can find the instructions out there and they will all end up reading ''000000...'' across the board when complete. |

Looking at that message, then the fix should just be a sensor unless there's a wiring issue in there somewhere.
I think there was a thread on that flap motor somewhere on here already.

There are two recirculation flap motors,
One in the engine bay which is easy'ish to replace. The other one is located inside the cabin, which requires the whole dash to be removed in order to replace it. Luckily V113 is the one in the engine bay, mine is also stuck and non operational. You need to check which position its stuck in, if its stuck closed then the car will never get fresh air into the cabin. To check, open bonnet and remove the cover from the pollen filter (centre of plenum). You should see two flaps, if they are closed when the engine is running and HVAC turned on, then they are stuck closed because they should be open. Mine are always open regardless of HVAC mode, so mine are stuck open. Stuck open is less of an issue because you'll get fresh air into the cabin. Stuck closed is a major problem because the stale air will build up in the cabin, a bit like having recirc mode on all the time. Mine has been stuck open for 15 months, never caused a problem yet.
