The flexi rubber hose from ebay worked well, i have only done the pass side one for now as the other one is not split but it worked fine so i can confirm that this is a very cheap option for replacement breather hoses.

So is 1 metre enough for both sides?

Thanks for this great forum, it has been invaluable for me in Hong Kong with 2001 S8 D2 and an abundance of 'bolt on' mechanics.

I would like to try DIY for this replacement. I got the 1 (one) meter long, 19mm diameter hose part (flexi or, silicone /w 90 deg bends).

Can someone please post some pictures around how to actually do this? Any guidance around steps, tools, will be much appreciated.

I need to replace both sides for this hose.
