engine knock/rattle

i noticed a knocking /rattle coming from the front middle of my engine the other day, so ive had an oil change . still no change , have been told it could be a crank,big end,or even the cam......
anyone got any ideas ?........

forgive my mechanical ineptitude but its a V engine so aren't the cams on the left bank or the right bank but not in the middle?

I get slightly odd noises but it's all down to the aircon.
Have you tried turning that totally off to see if the noise stops?

noise is deffo coming from front middle of engine. could it be a tensioner etc ?. its as though something is lose . looks like i need to get timing belt cover off .......

It's hard to say without hearing it but could be tensioning or relay rollers for either cambelt or fanbelt, water pump and fan bearings.

possibly the crank pulley? thats in the middle.
