Hood Latch Cable Broken
Hi guys
Just went to open my hood and the cable snapped....anyone with any ideas on how to get the hood open....please Thanks Ranjeet |

Can you pull the grill out? Should give better access.

You'll have to get to the release from underneath the engine bay. Unfortunately, removing the grille will be of little help, from memory, the release tab is on the engine side of the lock carrier.
Access from underneath is tight, but possible. As long as you don't have massive, ham-like hands with fingers like a bunch of bananas, you should be able to get to the release.

Bonnet latch
I think I ll remove the bumper..that should give me more room to work with...how does the mechanism work...I ve never figured that out...

I'll take a shot of mine, showing the cable attachments, and upload here. That would be easier than trying to describe how it works, and which way the release has to move to pop the hood.
