Fuel Pump Signal???
Interesting experience today, I went out today for some stuff, came home for about 2 hours then went out again, only this time I backed out then coasted like I normally do for about 50ft but before I got to the junction the engine just died.
I tried numerous times to restart with only as much as a cough and splutter. So I pushed the car back to the house, then tried it again and she only went and bloody started. I left it running while i got the laptop and scanned it and got the below, anyone had similar problem before. I will have check over the wiring when I can but for now the cars starting and running fine 012425 - Signal Line for Fuel Pump Electronics P3089 - 002 - Electrical Malfunction - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100010 Fault Priority: 0 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 255 Mileage: 104659 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2015.06.17 Time: 14:58:59 Freeze Frame: RPM: 816 /min Load: 44.3 % Speed: 0.0 km/h Temperature: 54.0°C Temperature: 42.0°C Absolute Pres.: 1010.0 mbar Voltage: 12.192 V

I'd suggest your fuel pump may be on its way out, get readings of fuel pressure whilst giving it some throttle and see how the pump is behaving, if your loosing a bit of pressure it's usually a sign of a weak pump. |

Typical ambiguous answer from Ross Tech / Audi, Signal line faulty go and replace the fuel pump.
I will see if I can log fuel pressure.

From my understanding the fault code is one that is logged when it senses the pump has failed, not a wiring issue, bit like a fault signal.
