Default V6 TDi Intake Clean

I keep getting this error.

001025 - EGR System
P0401 - 002 - Insufficient Flow

I assume its a dirty EGR or inlet system over something being broken.

Came across this.

Looking at the state of their inlet system I'm wondering if it would be worth doing the same to mine but I don't like the idea of having the car off the road for a week or so while I take everything off, clean it and put it back on.

My thinking is buying as much of the inlet/EGR system as reasonably priced (new or used) as possible, cleaning it and fitting to the car.

Has anyone done this level of cleaning on their A8?

Anyone got any needed parts laying around?
