Default Winter Mini Scotland Meet Anybody?

As the heading suggests there seems to be some interest in a Winter Mini Scotland Meet, I am happy to have a go at pulling something together, albeit I have some hard acts to follow after the previous excellent Mini Scotland meets.

Suppose the first thing we need to agree is when and duration, do those interested want to make a weekend of it or just one day? Then there is the before or after Christmas option, if before I am good for weekend of the 10th or 17th December. Obviously depends on the weather as well, just hope we dont get as much snow as last year

Could those of you interested please let me know your preference as soon as possible please

cheers

It'd need to be a one day shot Ideally a Saturday for me.

No preference on either weekend so far.

Saturday is better for me too - I'll bring an ear to be clipped!

I think either of those dates would be good - better before Xmas as the weather might be kinder

OK the plan meet just south of Edinburgh in the car park here at around 10.30

http://www.thesteadingedinburgh.co.u...-steading.html

Then head off down the A701 through Penicuik, branching off at Leadburn, continue down the A701, through Romano Bridge then Blyth Bridge where road becomes A72 for a short time, branch off to A701 again heading down to Moffat. Have a stop on the way down at the Devil’s Beeftub, admire the scenery and take a few pictures. Will probably have to wait for Richard to turn round and come back to the stopping point as he will have thundered past it Continue through Moffat and stop here for lunch

http://tibbieshiels.com/

It’s on the edge of St Marys Loch which will give us some more photo opportunities no doubt. After lunch a quick game of “See how far you can skim a Yorkshire man across St Marys Loch” with a quality prize for the winner. Then head off towards Selkirk on the A708, skirt round Selkirk on the A707, then join the A72 and head towards Peebles via Walkerburn and Innerleithen. Peebles could offer yet more photo opportunities as a final stop before heading down the A703 through Eddleston and back down the A701 and back through Penicuik to where we started. Round trip is approx 119 miles if Google maps are any good.

Getting to drive down the rest & be thankful twice (and up once) was worth it though.. And I'm pretty sure you didn't have to wait too long
