Amar,
Door to door from Bushey to Adenau is about 400 miles, so one tank in the S8.

So its a tank there, a tank back, plus fuel for running on the circuit. Just so you know, I was doing 6-7mpg on track last time, so effectively 2 gallons per lap.

Is this a weekend motor, or a daily? The B5 is even more poverty spec than the C5... you're going backwards.... Get over the need for speed and get yourself a tidy D3 S8, I cant see you enjoying any more of this low-luxury high speed stuff.. ??...

The B5 doesn't feel cheap like the C5 does, probably because in my mind I'm not comparing it to the D2, being a manual and much more compact car it feels great inside, goes like nothing I've ever been in before, corners as flat as my BMW with the right suspension upgrades, and it has also been a car that I'd promised myself a long time ago. I can't even compare the D3 S8 and the B5 RS4, I want the B5, badly. The D3, I sort of want to try.

I want to keep the plus, but I could get £20-21k for mine and get a sorted B5 for £12-13k. The C5 isn't worth the £8k premium, especially as everyone I've spoken to that has had both says the B5 is much better, including Ben too actually. I'll have a D3 S8 at some point though, don't you worry, I'm enjoying watching them depreciate. A good B5 RS 4 should be worth £12-13k all day long.

Here is the one I am hoping to do a deal on by the way, could be as late as this summer. It is immaculate inside and out, hoping to put in some stinking times at GTI international three point something to sixties should be easy.

You're dead right mate. A sorted B5 RS4 would be my choice at the ring over C5. Very different cars and C5 is great at what it does but RS4 is a stunning car to drive in the twisties!
