David, went for the purple as it was already removed from the car, took the easy approach

Its from a Vauxhall, think it might have been an Astra?

Might pop down to the local scrappy and see if I can pick up another panel or two as might not get much practice if we're all doing a single bonnet.

Dark colours are good, lets you see your mistakes and makes you work harder to get it right

Can you bring along any products you currently use to polish your cars.

It doesn't matter if it's T-Cut with colour or Black Hole as I am just interested in what everyone is using

Also does anyone own a rotary or DA polisher? if so you can bring it along too

I have an alloy wheel here that we can play about with and I can show you what is involved in polishing alloy.

Might have a wee competition on Sundayto see who can start the stationery engine without breaking a thumb

It's a 1941 Lister D-Type originally used for driving a milking machine

I took it out today and fired it up for the first time in over 2 years, a couple of turns of the handle and away it went

Here's a video I took in 2009 of it running Click
