Switching between comfort and Dynamic
Its been so long since it worked properly i cant remember and after lots of googling i cant find the answer.
After getting the suspension levelled and properly adapted, i if switch between dynamic\auto\comfort the car neither rises or lowers. If i put it in lift it goes up, if i select any of the other modes it goes down again. I think its the sport suspension so does this means its just switching between damper settings as opposed to ride heights ?

It should still go up and down.... Assuming you're stationary. If you're above a certain speed, it's always at the lowest level, though dampers should change.

hmmm, still an underlying issue then, i thought it was supposed to but i'd only had the car a month before it stopped. I have no warning messages, and no lights on and vcds shows nothing in relation to the suspension or lights. The MMI actually says "Adaptive Air Suspenstion - Sport" which is where i'm getting sport from.

Does each corner go up and down with VCDS output tests?

If it says that, you have sport
My PF D3 was sport and it still went up and down. What does lift mode do for you? On a related note.... Did we ever get an answer on the real differences between normal and sport suspension? Is it just the controller, or is the compressor and or shocks different? Not that I'm looking into how cheap an upgrade might be :P

It does, each corner goes up and down with vcds and complete the test without issues
Sport - Nice, Result Funny, I tested that on the way home, lift took the car up, any other mode brought the car down as you,d expect, both times the white arrow lights, however comfort to dynamic nothing.

when in comfort the car will not lower you at motorway speeds when in auto it lovers the car 20mm while moving at 70mph + and then when you slow to 60 it will raise you back up again.
when in dynamic the shocks are stiffened and i think the car should lower 20mm but im not sure if this only happens again at higher speeds or stationary ? ive never noticed my car lower down when going from auto to dynamic maybe its just so subtle you cant see it and when you use the lift option you notice it more i guess |

Your suspension sounds fine to me, and behaving as per the handbook, same as mine.
Lift is the only setting where you'll notice anything, except perhaps occasional lighting of the up arrow while slowing down after a high speed cruise
