Nope, though the stock W12 exhaust tail pipe valves were seized but are now lodged open.

Keep guessing

all i can say is see hear please mwahahahahaha

http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthrea...7030#post37030

and yes the exhaust valves are now wedged open and after a spirited drive yesterday on the way home i found that when using the flappy paddles and tip if you hold a gear and let off it pops and back fires now i know why its on a valve system
its quite loud in fact when you compare it to the flaps closed
but would rather the engine breath properly rather than starving or creating unwanted excess back pressure so i can live with the extra noise and rumble

it really has brought the engine to life though and its such a unique sound like a caged animal escaping when you hit the loud pedal

Big thanks to Godders for helping me with a few bits on the car and for coming with me to unit 20, and of cours thanks to martin and the team at unit 20 very tidy work indeed

Well after finding that the Track rod end on the near side has warn out and split we think that is whats making the squeaking noise so now i have a question

witch track rod end will fit ?
are the W12 track rod ends any different or are they standard D3 items

Their reference number 4D0419811G does not come up in ETKA. Also strange years listed 1984, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991

No reference numbers in their listing. It looks like there are 2 possibilities depending on chassis number. Which year was yours?

2004 looks like there is only one version, I must have been looking at different year or something.
