Hall Sender leaking
Hi,
Has anyone had any experience of a hall sender leaking on the 4.2? Can't seem to find anything on the net or through a search about this. Thanks

Is there anything in a Hall Sender to leak? If they become defective it's a case of chamging it. I belive its just a magnetic switch inside. I suppose it may be filled with a damping liquid.
How do you know it is leeking?

Thanks,
I had the car serviced, and one of the notes that came back was, "both cam cover seals and hall sender leaking" looked up and found info on the cam covers but not hall sender. If the hall sender was faulty would there be noticeable symptoms apart from it leaking? Is a hall sender replacement a pretty straight forward job? Thanks

Ha Ha! You didn't mention Cam Cover Seals.
 Its a regular on here. It isn't the Hall sender that is leaking but the seal around the cam position sender. A cam cover gasket kit will cure the problem and is a diy job. Here is how.

Ok nice one. I had found that guide but wasn't sure about the hall sender, but It now makes sense
