Default Hunter Alignment News

Well after the fronts destroyed the inside shoulders on my S8 I have now replaced all four tyres.

With that done and after comments from the chaps on this forum I went to Kwik Fit for the alignment to be all done.

Toe on the front was -0.41 each side, so a little out.

So all four wheels aligned and back to how it should be, that and some new Bosch wiper blades.

I think that's quite enough money for today

Got mine back from its MOT and service yesterday. I'd also had a full Audi alignment check while it was in and it was apparently found to be toeing to the left on both axles. Everything was then adjusted back to factory spec.
The difference is very noticeable. It no longer resists getting back the the left side after an overtake (phew), it's less fidgety and to my surprise the MPG has lept.
I guess the tyres must have been suffering too, so that's £125 well spent

Kwik charged £69 for the front and the back to be done which seems good value if it extends the tire life.

Also the car drives a lot better in the few miles I have had since, plus like you my S8 now fidgets less on our UK roads.

The car was always heavy on tyres and when I rebuilt the front end I went to some lengths to ensure that all the arms were specific for the 20" wheels and got it 4 wheel geo'do at that point.

It was a huge improvement after that, hopefully it'll be better again now.

Its interesting as my old D2 on 20s was not as hard on the front tyres.

One of the main problems is I live in a new house and the estate is a building site so roads are terrible which just does not help matters.

Much better now after the alignment, the old girl has her balance back again.

IT's not weld, it's gaffer tape, filler on top with a few light drill marks to look like 'spot welds'

It'll be fine, the 2 halves will have rusted back together again by now,
