Polyurethane subframe bushes from Poland
I came across this duiring my late-night D2 google sessions, they probably reduce the ride quality really badly, and cost as much as OEM but its better than nothing:

Ooh good find. Thats <£200 which is about half the price of OE so quite appealing.
They're 75 shore hardness so fairly soft. For comparison, the boot grommets are made of 85, although those are 50% air inside. I suspect NVH wouldn't be too terrible tbh. Who is going to be brave enough to try a set? Last edited by MikkiJayne; 17th May 2020 at 05:37 PM. |

If we could find some rear ones also that would be a real win.

Apparently if you send them a complete sub frame and buy the first set they will do it. The guy who i saw on facebook only sent them the front sub frame .....hopefully his rear will go soon

Hopefully yes, because sending a subframe to Poland and back from here would cost more than the bushes!
I wonder if they would be happy working from one corner of it? |

If you're willing to cut one up I'll ask?

The rear subframe bushes are different part numbers for different A8's. In fact the rear bushes on the D2 S8 are different part numbers for the the front pair compared to the rear pair, hope that makes sense? I can only guess that it has something to do with the stiffness of the rubber but I don't really know. As far as I can tell, they look physically identical.
If the guys in Poland can make rear subframe bushes, are we OK with a generic set to fit all the D2"s?

Yeah its just different rubber stiffness for the different models. They are otherwise identical, so one set will work for everything. Probably with them being solid but fairly soft it'll be stiffer and more controlled than an S8, with a little more NVH than an A8 but not too much.
*Probably! |

It appears that they also do all the bushings for front control arms too which once again saves a ton of money:
https://poliuretany.olkusz.pl/pl/aud...ich-10szt.html I think rear subframe bushes are just a matter of time now |
